Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. 1955–9 (prod. 2,360, incl. 122 LWB). 4-door saloon, 4-door LWB saloon. F/R, 4887 cm³ (I6 IOE). Beautifully balanced design, twinned with Bentley S1 as Rolls-Royce rationalized. Much stiffer than predecessor in its closed box section frame. Six-port head, electrically controlled dampers, and automatic as standard; power steering from 1956, LWB (with four extra inches in the wheelbase) from 1957.
