Rolls-Royce Corniche. 1971–96 (prod. 4,347 Corniche I; 1,226 Corniche II; 452 Corniche III; 244 Corniche IV incl. S). 2-door saloon, 2-door convertible. F/R, 6750 cm³ (V8 OHV). Two-door version of Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I now renamed, using a moniker from the Bentley archive, as Rolls-Royce resumed after calling in the receivers; 6·75-litre engine only. Saloons to 1982. Modernized Corniche II from 1987 for Japan and US, with fuel injection to meet emission legislation, while European laws necessitated a new hood and retractable mascot. Corniche III from 1989, launching alongside revised Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit II and Silver Spur II, but missing automatic ride control. Final IV from 1993, with new hood; the last Corniches were the S, of which 25 were made from 1995 to 1996.
