Renault Symbol. 2008–12 (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon. F/F, 1149, 1390, 1598 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1390 cm³ petrol, 1461 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Odd-looking three-box saloon with Renault Clio II components (including suspension), positioned above Dacia Logan in eastern European markets. Developed for eastern European markets primarily. Not a new platform, but a very extensive facelift. Frugal, with cavernous boot for its class. Largest 1·6 for South American markets, production commencing end of 2008.
