Renault Scénic IV.jpg

Renault Scénic (FA). 2016 to date (prod. 190,636 SWB only). 5-door MPV, 5-door LWB MPV. F/F, 1198, 1332, 1333 cm³ petrol, 1598, 1750 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 1461 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). As with the fourth Mégane, the Scénic moves on to Renault’s CMF–C/D platform, with striking looks, débuting at Genève 2016. Twenty-inch wheels as standard, argued successfully by its design department, giving Scénic a more striking appearance and having it cross over slightly into the SUV market. Renault claimed large wheels did not compromise comfort, but they did. Very good handling, with precise steering. Hybrid assist, rather than a true hybrid, available with 1·5 diesel, where an alternator is connected to the battery, kicking in during heavy acceleration, reducing fuel consumption. Grand Scénic, with an extra 24 cm in length, shown in May 2016. Regular-wheelbase Scénics ended production in July 2022.

Manufacturing location: Douai, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France
