Renault Scénic. 2016 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1198 cm³ petrol, 1598 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 1461 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). As with the fourth Mégane, the Scénic moves on to Renault’s CMF–C/D platform, with striking looks, débuting at Genève 2016. Twenty-inch wheels as standard, argued successfully by its design department, giving Scénic a more striking appearance and having it cross over slightly into the SUV market. Large wheels did not compromise comfort. Hybrid assist, rather than a true hybrid, available with 1·5 diesel, where an alternator is connected to the battery, kicking in during heavy acceleration, reducing fuel consumption.
