From AutocadeRenault Mégane (X95). 2008–16 (prod. n/a). 3-door coupé, 5-door saloon, 5-door estate, 2-door coupé–cabriolet. F/F, 1197, 1397, 1598, 1997 cm³ petrol, 1598, 1995 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 1461, 1870 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Less polarizing looks—but also fewer sales—for Renault Mégane, with above-average dynamics and excellent handling, but not quite top of the class thanks to uncommunicative sterring. Low emissions from diesels. Better than its main French rival, the Peugeot 308 (T70), and good perceived quality. Coupé more adventurous in terms of looks, with lowered suspension compared to the saloon. Estate (the name used in France officially) from 2009. Coupé–cabriolet from 2010. No four-door notchback saloon this time, spun off into its own line, the Fluence, based on the second-generation Samsung SM3 (L38). Facelift in 2013. Exported as Scala to Iran. Coupé the last to leave production in 2016.
