Renault Espace (P36/J63). 1991–7 (prod. 316,518). 5-door MPV. F/F, F/A, 1995, 2165 cm³ petrol, 2068 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 2849 cm³ (V6 OHC). Follow-up to successful original, with rounder forms keeping the model in vogue. Plastic panels made from SMC (sheet moulding compound). Improved build quality. V6 appeared for the first time. Mid-term changes 1995, with stronger bodyshell. Driving position still fairly upright and van-like.
