Renault Clio (X65). 1998–2017 (prod. 5,383,456 to beginning of 2011). 3- and 5-door saloon. Mid-term facelift in 2001, with further cosmetic changes in 2004, 2006 (with the introduction of base-model Campus to complement Clio 3) and 2009. Performance models include RS with two-litre engine. Good fuel economy but not that roomy or refined, while ride can be harsh. Handling below class standard. Facelift in Argentina and Brazil in 2012, bringing it into line with other 2010s Renaults.
