Reliant Rialto. 1981–98 (prod. n/a). 2- and 3-door saloon, 3-door estate. F/R, 848 cm³ (I4 OHV). Originally a Robin replacement, with much sharper styling for the 1980s, but similar mechanically. Greater stability with the more aerodynamic shape. Improved engine for Rialto 2 in 1983. Two-door with flip-up rear window; proper hatchback from 1986 with introduction of SE range. When the Robin Mk II emerged in 1989, Rialto became the entry-level car.
