2010 Range Rover Evoque.jpg

Range Rover Evoque (L538). 2010–18 (prod. 800,000 sold approx. to 2018). 3- and 5-door SUV, 2-door convertible SUV. F/F, F/A, 1998, 1999 cm³ petrol, 1999, 2179 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Land Rover launched the production version of its much-vaunted LRX show car as a Range Rover. Evoque débuted initially as a three-door, with five-door following within months. New 2·0-litre turbocharged engine developed 240 PS; upgraded diesel from Freelander, from which the Evoque was derived. Automatic selector inspired by Jaguar XF (X250); self-parking option. Very plush, excellent ride, and good handling. Facelift shown at Genève in 2015; convertible from late 2015. Three-door to 2018, due to low sales. Five-door replacement shown November 2018.

Manufacturing locations: Halewood, Merseyside, England; Changshu, Jiangsu, China
