2011 Porsche Panamera.jpg

Porsche Panamera (Typ 970/E2). 2009 to date (prod. 25,000 approx. to 2010). 4-door saloon. F/R, F/A, 2967 cm³ diesel, 2995 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid, 3605 cm³ petrol (V6 DOHC), 4806 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Porsche finally gets into the four-door grand touring market. Full-size luxury car with engine up front, with more emphasis on comfort than with Porsche’s sport models. Only four seats and not as roomy as a traditional saloon. Heavy, with engines derived from Cayenne SUV. No real predecessor, though one might argue that it occupied roughly the same grand-touring sector as the 928. Even heavier (2,095 kg) E-Hybrid from 2012.

Manufacturing location: Leipzig, Sachsen, Germany

Marque: Porsche | Model: Porsche Panamera | Successor: Porsche Panamera (971)
