Pontiac Grand Prix (A-special/G-body). 1978–87 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 2-door 2+2 fastback coupé. F/R, 3790, 4126 cm³ (V6 OHV), 4342, 4940, 4999 cm³ petrol, 5737 cm³ diesel (V8 OHV). Downsized personal–luxury car, with upright, boxy looks, sister to the Chevrolet Monte Carlo (1978–88), Buick Regal (1978–87) and Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (1978–88). Despite downsizing, actually more rear legroom and shoulder room than before, as well as improved manœuvrability. Not the best built model. Reskin in 1981, redesignated the G-body in 1982. Fastback coupé for homologation in 1986 only.

Manufacturing location: USA

Marque: Pontiac | Model: Pontiac Grand Prix | Predecessor: Pontiac Grand Prix (1973–7) | Successor: Pontiac Grand Prix (1988–96)
