1976 Plymouth Fury.jpg

Plymouth Fury (B-body). 1975–8 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 4-door saloon, 5-door wagon. F/R, 225 in³ (I6 OHV), 318, 360, 400, 440 in³ (V8 OHV). “Small” Fury (actually an intermediate-category model), as older model with this nameplate became Gran Fury. Basically a rebodied Plymouth Satellite (1971–4) with more squarish styling. Usual mid-1970s styling excesses such as optional opera windows for coupé, which had a shorter wheelbase (and less rear room). Biggest 440 in³ for 1975 only, 225 six only for 1976. Unreliable even in their day, with bugs on pretty much anything from body to electrics to suspension; more so on V8s. Not directly replaced, though related platform lived on beneath 1980 Gran Fury.

Manufacturing location: USA; Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Marque: Plymouth | Model: Plymouth Fury | Predecessor: Plymouth Satellite (1971–4) | Successor: Plymouth Gran Fury (1980–1)
