Peugeot 508 (W23). 2010–18 (prod. 260,000 approx. to end of 2012). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, F/A, 1560, 1997, 2179 cm³ diesel, 1598, 1751, 2253 cm³ petrol, 1997 cm³ diesel–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC). Larger replacement for 407, with more respectable boot space, and for previous flagship 607. Evolutionary, safer styling compared with predecessor, with more premium aspirations at the top of the range. More mature and complete than predecessor, and more refined. RXH estate has off-road pretensions and diesel hybrid powertrain. Largest 2·3 for Chinese market, as well as 1·8 turbo producing 204 PS. Facelift in 2015.
