Dongfeng Peugeot 408/Peugeot 408. 2010 to date (prod. 200,200 approx. to end of 2012). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1560 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1587, 1598, 1997 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Not a true replacement for the 407 as the name implies: 408 is essentially a four-door version of the 308 for the Chinese and Latin American markets, but with a stretched wheelbase (2,710 mm—a 102 mm increase). Launched in China first under the Dongfeng Peugeot moniker, but developed and designed in France. Marketing emphasized interior space, especially in the rear, important for the Chinese market. Facelift in 2012. Replaced in China in 2014, but continued in facelifted form in Argentina. Rebodied in China in 2015 as the Dongfeng Fengshen L60.
