Peugeot 408 (P54). 2022 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1199 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 12·4 kWh–1598 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). Fastback crossover, with large (20 in) wheels making it appear more sporty, and related to Peugeot 308 (T51) on the EMP2 platform, sharing windscreen, front door structure, headlights and bonnet. Drag coefficient at a low 0,28. Developed as a 'saloon of the future', blending SUV and saloon concepts. Arguably closer to coupé SUVs though Peugeot never mentioned SUVs or crossovers at launch, preferring to refer to the 408 as a fastback. Sold alongside Chinese three-box saloon in China.
