Peugeot 407.jpg

Peugeot 407 (D23/D22). 2004–11 (prod. 860,956 for all 407). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, 1749, 1997, 2230 cm³ petrol, 1560, 1997, 2179 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 2946 cm³ petrol, 2720 cm³ diesel (V6 DOHC). Large replacement for 406, with long nose (for pedestrian safety) and roomy front; slightly smaller rear and boot (smaller than 406’s) in proportion to the rest of the car. Nicely riding car, though electronics complex. Estate (D22) focused on style rather than roominess. Spawned coupé (covered separately).
