Cleverly packaged compact car, with a near-MPV silhouette as Peugeot pushed the windscreen forward for interior room. Tall estate called SW (with optional seven-seat version), meant to rival MPVs. Softer than before, in the pursuit of comfort, but less rewarding to drive than 306. Mid-term changes in 2005. French production to 2007, Argentinian production to 2011, but Chinese production continued. Four-door saloon built in Argentina and China only.
