Peugeot 201. 1929–37 (prod. 142,309). 4-door saloon, 2-door coupé, 2-door roadster, 4-door commercial saloon, 2-door tourer, 2-door cabriolet. F/R, 1122, 1307, 1465 cm³ (I4 SV). Basic workhorse French car, but notable for having independent front suspension (transverse leaf spring at front, quarter elliptics at rear). Priced well, enabling Peugeot to survive the Depression. L-head engines. First model from company to have a central zero in model name. Changes in 1934, to more swooping body styles.
