Peugeot 104
From AutocadePeugeot 104. 1972–88 (prod. 1,624,992). 3-, 4- and 5-door saloon. F/F, 954, 1124, 1219, 1360 cm³ (4 cyl. OHC). Boxy supermini with styling masterminded by Paolo Martin. Originally with four doors, with three-door hatchback in 1974, and five-door replacing four-door version in 1976. One-litre joined by 1·1 and 1·4 in 1976 and 1979 respectively. Independent all-round suspension, handling well with good performance from sporting models. Front and rear anti-roll bars on ZS. Facelifts in 1976 and 1982. Not directly replaced when 205 came on to the market, and remained in Peugeot range till 1988. Formed the basis of Citroën LN, Citroën Visa and Talbot Samba.
