2004 Subaru Traviq.jpg

Opel Zafira/Chevrolet Zafira/Subaru Traviq. 1999–2005 (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1598, 1798, 1998, 2198 cm³ petrol, 2174 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 1995 cm³ (I4 OHC). Opel Astra G-based minivan, with excellent use of space: it seated seven, rather than the usual five for the segment. Flex 7 seating system allowed for flat floor; Zafira was considered one of the best in its class. Above-average handling thanks to Astra base. Badge-engineered also as Vauxhall and Holden for UK and Australasia, while South America and Thailand had Chevrolet-badged Zafiras. Unusually, Subaru also sold the Zafira as the Traviq, the only model in its range without a four-wheel-drive option.

Manufacturing locations: Bochum, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany; Rayong, Thailand; São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil

Marque: Opel | Model: Opel Zafira | Successor: Opel Zafira B
