Opel Vectra C Caravan.jpg

Opel Vectra C/Vauxhall Vectra Mk II. 2002–8 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/F, 1598, 1796, 1998, 2198 cm³ petrol, 1910, 1995, 2184 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 1910 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 2792, 3195 cm³ petrol, 2958 cm³ diesel (V6 DOHC). Modelled after Signum show car, with new design direction for Opel. More geometric appearance. Large C-pillar for sedan. Liftback called GTS, closer resemblance to earlier models. Caravan on longer wheelbase, shared with production Signum. Interior Audi-esque and quite well put together, but electronically cancelling indicators illogical to operate. Handling so-so, but good refinement. More complicated than Vectra B, though more reliable. Sold in Chile and México as Chevrolet Vectra, but different from Brazilian Chevrolet model (see Chevrolet Vectra (2005–11)). UK models branded Vauxhall as usual; Australasian models wore Holden marque, and had indicator and wiper stalks reversed. Mid-life Astra H-style facelift in 2005, except for Australia and New Zealand which soldiered on with earlier C.

Manufacturing locations: Rüsselsheim, Germany; Ellesmere Port, England; Illychevsk, Ukraine

Marque: Opel | Model: Opel Vectra | Predecessor: Opel Vectra B | Successors: Daewoo Tosca, Opel Insignia, Chevrolet Malibu (2008–12)
