Opel Senator. 1987–93 (prod. 70,000 approx.). 4-door saloon. F/R, 2490, 2594, 2969 cm³ (I6 OHC), 2969, 3983 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Senator goes aero, with six-light bodywork and egg-crate grille, sharing a base with the Opel Omega A. Very roomy, with wider body, and a good performer with nice sixes at the upper end and a decent gearchange, though brakes and steering not the best. Irmscher model with four-litre six. Formed the basis of the Holden Commodore (VN). Badged Vauxhall Senator in UK.
