Mid-sized vehicle from Opel, related initially to the Olympia line and badged accordingly. Grew larger with each generation and formed the basis of other GM cars, including the Chevrolet Opala, the Ranger A and the Ranger B. Later Rekords were also connected with the Opel Commodore, and were manufactured under licence by Saehan. The Australian Holden Commodore was also related, with the early Commodore Wagon having Rekord E1 roots.
