Opel Manta B. 1975–88 (prod. 557,883 approx.). 2- and 3-door coupé. F/R, 1196 cm³ (I4 OHV), 1297, 1796 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1584, 1897, 1979 cm³ (I4 CIH), 2410 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Modern, crisp styling for second-generation Manta, with addition of fastback (CC, for Combi Coupé) model from 1977. Styling aped that of Chevrolet Monza (1975–80). Formed basis of Manta 400 Group B rally car (240 made with 2410 cm³ engine), and lessons learned on handling were incorporated into road cars, especially second-phase models after 1982.
