Replacement for Vectra is more expressive, with styling inspired by GTC show car. Far more competent dynamically with strong body rigidity; European Car of the Year 2008–9. Rear headroom a bit compromised due to coupé-like silhouette. Frontal camera recognizes traffic signs, a world first. Estate called Sport Tourer, not Caravan, as GM attempts to position it as a lifestyle vehicle and not a hold-all. Sold as Vauxhall Insignia in UK; Buick Regal (2008–) in China.
