Opel Corsa B/Chevrolet Corsa/Chevrolet Corsa Classic/Chevrolet Classic/Opel Corsa Lite/Buick Sail/Chevrolet Monza/Chevrolet Chevy/Opel Sail/Opel Swing/Chevrolet Sail. 1993 to date (prod. unknown). 3-, 4- and 5-door saloon, 5-door estate, 2-door pick-up. F/F, 973 cm³ (3 cyl. DOHC), 1196, 1389 cm³ petrol, 1488, 1686 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC), 1199, 1389, 1598 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Replacement for Corsa A adopts cute, rounded lines and launched in Europe with huge campaign using supermodels. The car itself may have been fashionable, but it was never a class leader, lacking refinement in some cases. However, it became GM’s world car, more so after its European run stopped in 2000. While aimed at Europe, it was built also in Brazil and South Africa during its original run and exported to Australasia. It became the entry-level GM car in China, initially as the Buick Sail, and from 2005 the Chevrolet Sail (the station wagon was called the SRV). In México, the cars were called Chevrolet Monza and Chevrolet Chevy; a facelift saw all branded Chevrolet Chevy C2. Indian models were called Opel Sail initially. Other names included Opel Corsa Lite (South Africa, after introduction of Opel Corsa B), Opel Swing (saloon and estate, India), Opel Vita (Japan), Vauxhall Corsa (UK) and Holden Barina (Australasia).

Manufacturing locations: Zaragoza, Spain; São José dos Campos, Brazil; Port Elizabeth, South Africa; Shanghai, China; Miguel Hidalgo, México; Halol, Gujarat, India

Marque: Opel | Model: Opel Corsa | Predecessors: Opel Corsa A, Suzuki Cultus (1988–99) | Successor: Opel Corsa C
