Opel Commodore. 1966–71 (prod. 156,467). 2- and 4-door saloon, 2-door coupé. F/R, 2239, 2461, 2784 cm³ (I6 CIH). Opel spins off the six-cylinder Rekord into its own model line, succeeding the Rekord 6 of the B generation. Still essentially the six-cylinder version of the Rekord, in this case the C. Smallest 2·2 dropped in 1968, power increase for 2·5 in 1969 (120 PS), GS/E from 1970, with fuel-injected 2·5. GS 2800 from 1970.
