1991 Oldsmobile Toronado Troféo.jpg

Oldsmobile Toronado. 1990–2 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé. F/F, 3791 cm³ (V6 OHV). Same as 1986–9 models but with a restyling to make the car look considerably bigger. Same wheelbase as before, but new sheetmetal added a foot to the length, helping to increase trunk space by 2·5 ft³. Driver airbag a new option for base Toronado, but standard on Troféo. Dashboard now featured analogue gauges. Remote keyless entry and ABS in 1991 with hands-free mobile phone optional, while the final year saw Troféo get stiffer suspension along with bigger wheels and tyres. Tastes, however, had shifted away from personal–luxury cars and toward SUVs, and Oldsmobile cancelled the line.

Manufacturing location: Lansing, Michigan, USA

Marque: Oldsmobile | Model: Oldsmobile Toronado | Predecessor: Oldsmobile Toronado (1986–9)

q.v. Buick Riviera (1989–93), Cadillac Eldorado (1986–91)
