Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera/Oldsmobile Ciera (A-body). 1982–96 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé, 5-door wagon. F/F, 2196, 2474 cm³ (I4 OHV), 2836, 2966, 3135, 3343, 3785 cm³ petrol, 4261 cm³ diesel (V6 OHV). Very refined, long-lived mid-sized range, derived from Oldsmobile Omega (1980–4) and a clone of Chevrolet Celebrity, Buick Century and Pontiac 6000. Refined, roomy and with good acceleration from V6s, but with below-average ride. Most of the bugs were ironed out during its long life, and considered a quality model. Wagon from 1984. Mid-term refresh for 1989 model year, and continued to sell strongly till the range was pared down in the mid-1990s. Cutlass tag dropped after 1995 model year.
