1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass.jpg

Oldsmobile Cutlass. 1973–7 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door coupé. F/R, 231 in³ (V6 OHV), 250 in³ (I6 OHV), 260, 350, 403, 454 in³ (V8 OHV). One of the US’s favourite mid-sizers (its best seller in 1976) and the heyday for the Cutlass line, and probably one of the country’s best put-together at the time. Colonnade styling new for ’73, and V8s only until 1975. Cutlass Salon, with stiffer suspension and bucket seats, part of this line, available first as a sedan, then the hardtop coupé. Shovel-nose facelift for 1976, before reverting back to a more formal appearance for 1977. Not the most practical thanks to fussy styling limiting room, but a better intermediate entry than its contemporary rivals.
