Nissan Stanza (A10). 1977–81 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/R, 1595, 1770 cm³ (I4 OHC). Upscale version of Violet and Auster, with squared-off styling apeing larger Cedric and Gloria models. Four-door only at launch, signalling upscale ambitions, as did the absence of a 1·4-litre engine; five-door, Stanza Resort, added 1979. Datsun Stanza nameplate was used for export versions of the related Violet, rather than this model.
