More rounded Skyline, with less barge-like styling. Slimmed-down proportions had consequences with interior room, hurting sales, and driving buyers to the Nissan Cefiro of these years. For competition, GT-R returned with all-wheel drive and twin turbochargers, dominating Group A touring car racing and forcing a rule change.
