Nissan Skyline (C10/WC10/VC10/GC10/PGC10/KPGC10/KGC10/HGLC10). 1968–72 (prod. 310,447). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door coupé. F/R, 1483, 1815 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1998 cm³ (I6 OHC), 1998 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Development for third-generation Skyline commenced under Prince, but launched as a Nissan. MacPherson coils at front, leafs at rear. Carryover 1·5 first, with six-cylinder 2000 GT from October 1968, featuring a longer nose, and independent suspension, with rear changed to semi-trailing arms. First Skyline GT-R also in this generation, launched February 1969, using a Prince-designed DOHC engine producing 160 PS (118 kW). The 1800 was added in 1969 and some minor changes to the grille and taillights were made. Automatic added for 2000 GT in 1970. Two-door hardtop coupé released October 1970 with a shorter wheelbase, including a GT-R variant, with a successful racing history; further cosmetic changes in 1971, with power increases for 1500 and 1800. Hardtop 2000 GT-X with 125 PS (130 PS on high-octane petrol) engine from Nissan Fairlady Z (S30) added, GT-X sedan from 1972. Fifth gear added for 2000 GT in 1972.
