From AutocadeNissan Silvia (日産 シルビア) (S15). 1999–2002 (prod. 43,147 sold in Japan only). 2-door coupé. F/R, 1998 cm³ (I4 DOHC). More trim, within the dimensions of class 5, in the hope to kickstart sales. More power from the two-litre engines: 165 PS for the manual 2·0, and 250 PS for the turbo manual. No left-hand-drive model developed. Exported as 200SX. Six-speed manual developed for the Eunos Roadster, and could not cope with the engine. Varietta coupé–convertible shown in 2000, sold to July 2001, the first Japanese convertible with a folding metal roof. Final Silvia, was Renault moved in to cut costs under the Renault–Nissan Alliance and the number of Nissan platforms was reduced.
