Nissan Dualis/Nissan Qashqai. 2007 to date (prod. 100,000 approx. at end of 2007). 5-door saloon. F/F, F/A, 1461 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC), 1598, 1997 cm³ petrol, 1995 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. DOHC). Following trends, a crossover SUV on new P32L platform, designed and engineered in UK. Replaced Nissan’s Primera range in Europe as the company focused on niche vehicles. Sold as Qashqai in Europe after an Iranian tribe; original Japanese name used in home market. Most models front-wheel drive. Reasonable handling but not that much more practical alongside regular hatchbacks—really just a tall car, rather than anything with off-road credentials. Platform to underpin Renault Mégane III and Koleos crossover.

Manufacturing locations: Kanda, Fukuoka, Japan; Sunderland, England

Marque: Nissan | Predecessor: Nissan Primera (P12)
