1991 Nissan Cima.jpg

Nissan Cima (FY32). 1991–6 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/R, F/A, 2960 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 4130 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Cima gets spun off into its own line, with smoother, more imposing looks, and a slight retro style, following two months after the new Cedric and Gloria. Very luxurious, reflecting the expectations of the Japanese bubble economy at the time, including an analogue clock apeing Italian models. Smaller version of the V8 that appeared in the Nissan President (HG50) initially. Computerized active suspension, with all-wheel-drive and active steering from 1992. Exported to Hong Kong. Touring model added, which was supposedly more driver-oriented. Mid-term changes in 1993, with V6 turbo added to range. Driver’s airbag standard from 1995.

Manufacturing location: Japan

Marque: Nissan | Model: Nissan Cima | Predecessors: Nissan Cedric Cima, Nissan Gloria Cima | Successor: Nissan Cima (FY33)
