Nissan Cedric (Y34). 1999–2004 (prod. n/a). 4-door hardtop sedan. F/R, F/A, 2495, 2987 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 2498 cm³ (I6 DOHC), 4494 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Almost the final fling for the Cedric nameplate, which began life in 1960, and the last (pillared) hardtop to bear the name. LL platform, once again twinned with Gloria, but with more of a luxury slant. LCD monitor (not a touchscreen) included in interior, with optional TV. Inline six used for AWD models, as with Gloria. Fortieth-anniversary model in 2000. DVD navigation special models from 2001. Mid-term changes in 2001, with Nissan logo on the grille and a typeface change on the badges. Discontinued in 2004, though the regular Y31 sedan continued to 2014 as the last bearer of the Cedric nameplate.
