Nissan Altima/Nissan Teana (L32L/L33D/L42L). 2012 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 4-door LWB sedan. F/F, 1997, 2488 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 3498 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Larger and lighter Altima for US 2013 model year, with responsive dynamics and features such as hands-free text messaging, lane departure warning, and rear moving-object detection. Planned to be more international than previous incarnation, which was targeted at North American markets. Built in China at Dongfeng Nissan from 2013, including VIP model with 12·5 cm wheelbase stretch, and a base 2·0-litre model. Decent performance, but poor interior materials and not as quiet as rivals. Facelift in 2015. US production to 2018.
