2006 Nissan Pulsar.jpg

Nissan Almera (N16). 2000–6 (prod. n/a). 3-, 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 1461, 2184 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1497, 1769 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Another dependable but unexciting C-segment car, though better looking than its predecessor. Good handling for the class; timing chain problems on 1·5 mar reliability record. Rear space considered cramped. Hatchbacks not sold in Japan, but launched first in Europe as Almera; four-door was essentially the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy (G10) with the Pulsar grille in some markets. Mid-term changes 2003, including better ride thanks to suspension changes. Retained Pulsar name for Australia and New Zealand.

Manufacturing location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England

Marque: Nissan | Model: Nissan Almera | Predecessor: Nissan Pulsar (N15) | Successors: Nissan Tiida (C11), Samsung SM3 (N17), Nissan Note (E11), Nissan Pulsar (C13)
