2020 Nissan Versa.jpg

Nissan Almera (L02D). 2019 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 999 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1598 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Unveiled at the 2019 New York show for the US 2020 model year as the Nissan Versa, the car wore the Almera badge in its home (Mexican) market when launched later that year. No longer the US’s cheapest car, with a price increase of US$2,000 over its predecessor, but far more sophisticated. Longer, lower and wider, with more equipment, and a more powerful 1·6-litre engine than before. More safety features and economical, but not that roomy at the rear, thanks to its sloping roofline. Interior on the dull side, apeing the larger Nissan Altima (L34)’s. Thai version débuted in November 2019, with a one-litre turbo mated to a CVT transmission.

Manufacturing locations: Aguascalientes, México; Samut Prakarn, Thailand

Marque: Nissan | Model: Nissan Almera | Predecessor: Nissan Sunny (L02B)
