NSU Prinz 1000
From AutocadeNSU Prinz 1000/NSU 1000. 1963–72 (prod. 196,000 approx.). 2-door saloon. R/R, 996 cm³ (I4 OHC). NSU introduces its first four-cylinder model, with 43 PS and a 135 km/h top speed. Sophisticated for their time despite the RWD: engine was OHC with a cross-flow cylinder head, with semi-trailing arm rear axle, favoured by racers. Prinz name disappeared for 1967 as cars became NSU 1000 and 1000C, but power dropped to 40 PS with added weight, though claimed top speed remained the same.
