1967 Morris Oxford VI.jpg

Morris Oxford VI/Morris 1650. 1961–71 (prod. 208,823). 4-door saloon, 5-door estate. F/R, 1622 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV). Final revision for Farina saloons and estates, with cut-down fins and enlarged engine, giving proper 80 mph performance. Manufactured in Argentina as Morris 1650 by IKA, 1966–7, slotting between Riley and MG models there. Traveller dropped in 1969; saloon in 1971. Suffered from underdevelopment, and arguably should have been replaced mid-decade by other BMC products, such as the Morris 1800—had it remained at the originally planned size. Twinned with Austin A60 Cambridge.
