Morris Mini Clubman.jpg

Morris Mini Clubman. 1971–6 (prod. under 1,000 for GT). 2-door sedan, 2-door van (plus 2 rear doors). F/F, 998, 1098, 1275 cm³ (I4 OHV). With so many different Minis, this is an odd one. The Australian-made Mini Clubmans originally débuted as part of the Morris range, if new-car price lists were to be believed; other authorities note that there was no Morris badge on the cars. Usually, Clubmans were regarded as part of Austin, if they were to belong to any marque. In any case, the Australian Clubmans are distinct from the British ones, launching August 1971 and replaced in 1973 with successive cars listed here as Leyland Mini. Doors still had old-style hinges and windows had quarterlights. Range had 1100 (basic and de luxe) and 1300 GT models. Australian GT, with 78 bhp, considerably more powerful than British 1275 GT. Australian Clubman vans for 1971 and 1972. Uruguayan model closer to British design, built from 1973 to 1976, but only 998 cm³ four.

Manufacturing locations: Enfield, New South Wales, Australia; Uruguay
