Second ADO17 (‘Landcrab’) line to be launched, nearly two years after the Austin 1800. Some minor differences initially, but the two variants grew closer and by the Mk III, they differed only in badging. As with the Austin, a second-generation (ADO71) model was launched in 1975 but survived mere months before being renamed, taking Morris out of the sector.
