Morgan Aero 8/Morgan Aeromax/Morgan Aero SuperSports. 2002 to date (prod. unknown; 100 Aeromax). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible, 2-door Targa. F/R, 4799 cm³ (V8 DOHC). The first all-new Morgan in decades, with modern take on traditional roadster style. Ash substructure on bonded aluminium chassis, with aluminium bodywork. Very lightweight; engine from BMW. Lightness helped contribute to respectable fuel economy figures: mpg in the mid-20s. Facelift in 2007. Original Aero 8 convertible to 2009, in five official versions; hardtop Aeromax on sale 2008–10 to commemorate Morgan’s centenary. SuperSports with Targa roof from 2010. Far pricier than traditional Morgans, commanding Porsche to Aston Martin prices new.
