Mitsubishi Pajero Io/Mitsubishi Pajero Pinin/Mitsubishi Pajero TR4/Changfeng Leopard (Liebao) Feiteng. 1998 to date (prod. 340,183 approx. to end of 2015). 3- and 5-door SUV. F/A, 1834, 1999 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1999 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Unlike the preceding Pajero Jr, Io (Italian for I) had its own platform and body, and was marketed as more of an urban vehicle. Three-door to begin with; five-door quickly added; by 2002 the three-door was dropped. Pininfarina made the European model. Japanese production till 2007. Brazilian flex-fuel model from 2007. Brazilian production from 2002 to 2015, with further facelift in 2010. Chinese production from 2003 to 2013.
