Mitsubishi Mirage (CJ1A/CJ2A/CJ4A/CK1A/CK2A/CK4A/CK6A/CK8A/CL2A/CM2A/CM5A/CM8A). 1995–2000 (prod. n/a). 3- and 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/F, F/A, 1298, 1468, 1597 cm³ petrol, 1997 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1468, 1597, 1834 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1829 cm³ (V6 OHC). Slightly more angular Mirage, with usual hatchback complemented by two-door Asti coupé, sometimes exported as Lancer. Four-door Vie Saloon now outwardly identical to Lancer. Retro grille on Mirage Modaro from 1997; other mid-term changes that year. As with Lancer, good fuel economy, and safe handling. Range absorbed into Lancer, with only the Mirage Dingo (q.v.) carrying on the Mirage nameplate.
