Mitsubishi Lancer Fiore. 1983–7 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1298, 1468, 1598 cm³ petrol, 1795 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1598 cm³ (I4 DOHC). As before, a booted Mirage, this time based on the 1983 model and launched simultaneously. Attractive, refined, if dull car, sold without the Fiore tag in export markets, or as Dodge Colt in the US. Basis of the first Proton Saga (1985–92), Malaysia’s “national car”, in the late 1980s. Wagon added 1985 (covered separately).
