Mitsubishi Galant Σ (E10). 1983–90 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 4-door hardtop sedan. F/F, 1570, 1997, 2350 cm³ petrol, 1779 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1998, 2972 cm³ (V6 OHC). Galant Σ switches to front drive, and Galant Σ hardtop replaces Galant Λ coupé. No wagon this generation, though Australians did develop a widened version of this range called Mitsubishi Magna (1985–91) which included one. Optional digital dashboard on premium models in Japan. Very successful, refined range, replaced in most markets by E30-series Galant in 1987–8 (October 1987 in Japan) but continued in others (such as New Zealand, as the V3000). Exported usually as Mitsubishi Galant, without Σ tag, or as Mitsubishi Sigma.
